ETHOS - THE STEELE STUDIO WAY:
We are totally committed to our team and our journey to become the best dancers possible, we are constantly growing and improving as individuals while putting the team above ourselves.

AIMS:
Steele Studio is an All Star Dance Program
We train athletes to the highest levels of All Star Dance including national and international competition. We train athletes to not only become great all star dancers but also technically sound theatre dancers. Athletes will not only compete but also put on yearly productions in local Welsh theatres. We train not only the dancer but also the individual in goal setting, respect, team work as well as individual and group achievement.

OUR PROGRAMME:
We offer 3 pathways- Distinction, Open and Novice.
Distinction is for athletes who wish to attain the highest levels in dance including national and international competition. Athletes are held to high standards and are expected to attend regularly, condition and stretch regularly and attend specialised workshops. This pathway is via audition entry only - auditions are held as regular classes in a friendly environment. Athletes are expected to show a positive attitude, willingness to work hard and constantly up-skill as required by their coaches. For those athletes under 18 parental involvement will be paramount to the athletes success as they will need support in terms of class attendance as well as competitions / events.

Open is for athletes who enjoy dancing and wish to compete locally and nationally however they will only train 2 days per week maximum and the expectations on them are slightly less than our distinction programme. Entry is open therefore an audition is not needed.

Novice is for athletes who are making their first steps into competitive dance. Training will be 1 day a week and athletes will compete locally. Athletes may move to the open (no audition) or distinction programme (audition) from the novice programme if spaces are available. No audition is needed to start and all are welcome in our novice programme!

Hip Hop Crew - is not part of our Distinction, Open or Novice program but runs as a separate class 1 day a week. The athletes will compete alongside our Distinction / Open program. Hip Hop crew will benefit from workshops from outside professionals. Crew does not need an audition - however attendance is mandatory.

For each programme, the dancers / coaches will be setting short and long term goals individually as well as within the team for the best of each athlete and for the best of the team.
